METALOG training tools

Roots

Metalog was founded in 1996 by Daniela and Tobias Voss to provide corporate clients with high quality, customised training and organisational development processes.

In the early years, they carried out projects for companies such as AUDI, FESTO and Lufthansa, for numerous banks such as Dresdner Bank and also for both the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as well as the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology.

Out of the knowledge and experience gained in how learning and change processes can be optimally supported grew the desire of many peers for experiential learning projects and, in 2002, METALOG training tools was born. Working with a network of freelance trainers, initially, classic ideas were reworked into high quality products and launched on to the market. Metalog quickly began to turn completely new ideas into multi-use learning intensifiers for trainers. And this trend is still continuing - every year, Metalog develops approximately 2 to 4 new training tools.

Growth
In recent years, Metalog training tools has become the market leader in experiential learning methods throughout German-speaking Europe.

Production
The vast majority of Metalog training tools are manufactured at a sheltered workshop.

Product design
Our customers love Metalog training tools because they enrich their training and combine elegant design with beautiful handwork – simply a delegates’ delight.

Philosophy

Philosophie

METALOG® training tools...

... stimulate learning processes for ALL of the SENSES. In this way, you experience with hand and heart not only the theory of the psychology of communication but also management techniques and team concepts.

... act as LEARNING AMPLIFIERS. Dry and “top-heavy” theories are made visible and tangible, and illustrated in an unprecedented memorable way, increasing the long-term retention of what is experienced.

... gets you working with METAPHORS. A second ‘reality’, parallel to the apparent group reality, becomes established, containing aspects of fun and the joy of experimentation. But beyond this, however, the surroundings allow the delegates to bring their own authentic behaviour into the open, a behaviour that they show in their daily life in “their” social system.

... are tools for REAL WORLD TRANSFER. Experiences are made during the learning projects that delegates can easily transfer to their everyday life.

... means SYSTEMIC INTERVENTION. You implicitly and consistently work with aspects of multiperspectivity, feedback loops, contextuality of meaning as well as self-organisation.

...create POSITIVE STATES. Along with activating the delegates, they support the group leader, trainer or coach in activating resources, fostering feedback and creating a positive learning environment.

... can be used in a wide variety of contexts and with diverse target groups. STAGING of the learning project plays a central role here. Embed your learning projects in such a way that your group can easily visualise the ideas you wish to convey.
